Douglas Adams is gone. It’s been a week and I still can’t believe it. He was too young. And too wonderful a writer. I have to read the “trilogy” again — probably my tenth time through. In honor of the man, word is spreading on the net about Towel Day...

Now’s a good a time as any to mention the building crecendo of buzz and press over the Bay/Bruckheimer blockbuster (usually not declared until the opening weekend take is tallied, but I think this is a sure bet) “Pearl Harbor.” I don’t know why, but the previews and TV ads...
