Eerie. Greg was just e-mailing me about how the Alamo Drafthouse — the awesomest movie theater chain ever — is finally starting to set up franchises outside Austin. I wrote back saying, “Well, we’ve got too many theaters here… when they start closing, who knows? The Kailua theaters might work.”
Well, the Kailua Cinemas is shutting down.
The Windward side? Dinner and a movie together? It could work! Just pull out every other row of seats, put in long tables and a kitchen… Now where’s that venture capitalist when you need him?
