Yow!

When you’re trying to get a project going, having it mentioned in the local paper is usually a good thing. As long as that project is actually running.

Thanks go to Honolulu Adveriser tech columnist Burt Lum for plugging HawaiiAnswers.com in today’s column. And he deserves much of the credit: the idea came up at one of his downtown Bytemarks lunches. Inspired, I had jumped right on it, nabbing the domain, finding the CMS, soliciting submissions… and then promptly forgot about it. Burt didn’t forget, however.

So while the site’s suddenly out of the bag, it isn’t quite the far-reaching repository of island knowledge it was supposed to be. It’s still a fledgeling answer site in search of questions. Got any?
