Aiona Girl

Cat Toth, immensely popular local reporter and blogger for the Honolulu Advertiser, stars in this… mind blowing tribute to Lt. Governor Duke Aiona. “Aiona Girl” was shown at “Gridiron 2007,” the annual fundraiser for the local chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. It’s a can’t-miss event that recaps the year’s news with hilarious musical numbers and comedic send ups.

Without a doubt, Cat Toth’s smoldering video valentine to our state’s handsome and fit lieutenant governor was the evening’s biggest hit, and folks had been clamoring to see it ever since. Finally, you can experience the magic yourself. (Of course, “Aiona Girl” was inspired by “Obama Girl,” which is also worth a watch if you haven’t seen it.)

Now, Cat Toth just got a job over at The Nature Conservancy, but she will apparently continue to blog for the Advertiser. I’m sure she’ll do good works for the planet at her new gig, but I hope she’ll continue to add that little extra something to the local media landscape.
