Log on, Danno. CBS has taken the extraordinary step of putting some classic TV shows online, including “Hawaii Five-O.” The streaming video player looks great, and I’ve lost half an afternoon in the archives, smiling at the classic characters and marveling at the many fantastic shots of the Hawaii that was.
Boat Days at Aloha Tower. ‘Iolani Palace before the iron fence. Ala Moana before it mutated into a high-end retail nightmare. Kalakaua Avenue with two-way traffic running past wide, sandy beaches. The hair! The cars!
If “Hawaii Five-O” is not your style, CBS has also put all three seasons of “Star Trek” online. Want something more contemporary? How about “Melrose Place“?
