This month’s Art After Dark is not to be missed. On Friday, the Honolulu Academy of Arts presents “So Sari! Bollywood Nights.”

The soundtrack to the evening will be provided by New York’s famed D.J. Rekha, and E&O Trading Company will provide some flavor.

You can wander the courtyards of the Academy, where major Indian holidays (such as Diwali and Onam) are highlighted. Get creative with flowers in making a “pookkalam,” or a round, floral carpet. Visit street market vendors offering snacks, spices, henna art, and more. And take a tour of the Academy’s Gallery of Indian Art.
