Poor Reform Party. In the wake of Perot, the party that busted its ass getting on the ballot in all 50 states is now being hijacked by creepy ex-Republican Pat Buchanan. It’s convention bust in half with Perot-loyalists running off to nominate a new-age scientist, but odds are Buchanan’s camp is the one with the ball. Buchanan has nominated Ezola Foster, a black woman, as his running mate, a strategic pick if there ever was one. Foster supports God in government and opposes immigration. Noted Buchanan, “It is black Americans — and especially many of those in California — who are the ones who have to go through ferocious competition for jobs in factories and 7-11s and things from huge numbers of illegal aliens coming in.” In case you didn’t know where he stood on race relations.
