George Bush rightfully fears those debates with Al Gore. He has a problem thinking before he speaks. I’ve been eating up the story about Bush’s potty mouth — calling a reporter an “asshole” while on a crowded stage with running mate Dick Cheney and a podium covered with microphones. This is “bringing dignity back to the White House”? Even Clinton and his team got some yuks out of the snafu. I tell you, Adam Clymer — the NY Times writer Bush bitched about — has got to be the happiest journalist in America today.
