Online petitions are a dime a dozen, but if you’ve a moment, I’d urge you to sign this one, backing an impressive come-from-behind grassroots effort to kill the FCC’s attempts to allow greater media consolidation.

Try as I might, I can’t find a way to sell the FCC’s move as anything but bad news for everyone… except the media conglomerates themselves, of course. If you’re not a media nut, this site is as good a place as any for some background.
