Newsweek is reporting that Netflix (love ’em!) and TiVo (love ’em!) are about to ink a major deal. It’s a partnership that’s both revolutionary and a no-brainer, one folks have mused about for some time.

As happy customers of both services, I really hope the rumors are true. Think about it… now we’ll never have to leave the house!

In an interview with NEWSWEEK last year, CEO Reed Hastings predicted that by the end of the decade, Netflix will deliver most of its rentals over the Net, supplanting its distribution centers and trademark red envelopes. “We named the company Netflix, we didn’t name it DVD by Mail,” he said.
