Some odd local news to report… First, in the “Duh!” department, local stores are pulling those fun little jelly candies off shelves after two kids in California choked to death on them. On one hand I thought it was ridiculous, but then again, it is marketed toward kids, and you do have to suck the damn things out of the holders – perhaps indeed an invitation for disaster. Secondly, some fun surveillance camera video from a Pearl Kai jewelry store. The proprietors ended up chasing them out, throwing a calculator, a mirror, and waving a bent umbrella. It could have been a disaster, but you gotta admire these ladies’ spunk.
