Tech Breakfast on Hawaii Broadband

On Friday, the monthly HISciTech Tech Download networking breakfast organized by the Hawaii Science & Technology Council will feature an update on the Hawaii Broadband Taskforce. Although the HBTF was technically shut down at the end of June, there’s still no shortage of new information to process. This Friday’s event, then, is just the first in a three-part series on broadband and its associated opportunities.

The speaker is David Lassner, Chief Information Officer at the University of Hawaii, and HBTF chair.

The HiSciTech Tech Download will be held at The Pacific Club (1451 Queen Emma St.) from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 9. The cost is $20 for HiSciTechMembers, $25 for non members. To RSVP, call 536-4670 or e-mail [email protected].

The monthly event is supported by the UH Shidler College of Business, Pacific Asian Management Institute (PAMI), the Center for International Business and Education Research (CIBER), the UH Office of Technology Transfer and Economic Development (OTTED), EPSCoR Hawaii, and the Department of Business Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT).
