Bookmarks for September 5th

When I’m not blogging, I’m browsing. Here are sites and pages that I bookmarked on September 5th:

  • Words They Used – 2008 Political Conventions: NYTimes.com Interactive Graphic: The words that speakers used at the two political conventions show the themes that the parties have highlighted. Republicans were more likely to talk about businesses and taxes, while Democrats were more likely to mention jobs or the economy.
  • Columbia calls up new ‘Ghostbusters’: Columbia Pictures is getting serious about scaring up a new installment of its blockbuster "Ghostbusters" franchise. The studio has set "The Office" co-exec producers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky to write a script for a film designed to bring back together the original cast of Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson.
  • Concrete-Jet Robot Prints Out Houses: Video: Contour Crafting is developing a robot that’s able to “print” three dimensional structures, using what is essentially inkjet technology, except on a larger scale and with concrete.
