So Al Gore comes out at the Democratic National Convention tonight. I’m pulling for him, but only because a return to a pro-censorship, anti-abortion Republican presidency scares the crap out of me. I must be too easily impressed, because for all the jokes and punditry, I’ve never found his personality lacking. He’s no Clinton in the oratory and schmooze department, but to me that’s not neccessarily a bad thing. He’s sharp — or at least very much a thinking man, in contrast to his opponent. (Heh… I love the “local outreach” section of the Dems’ site. “Just click on your state below,” it says, but Hawaii and Alaska aren’t there — just letters floating in Neverneverland.)
