“LOST” in the Neighborhood

SPOILER ALERT (Updated 3:12 p.m. HST): Breathless word comes from Carrie of a recent “LOST” shoot in Kahala. Less than a block from the home where Hurley hid in Season 5, she found her neighborhood once again packed with trailers and trucks before sunrise. Fortunately for us, she blew off her morning plans when she spotted cameras being set up on the lawn of a home a few doors down.
LOST

The scene was brief, but dramatic… and may further complicate already complicated theories forming after recent filming reports suggesting the safe arrival of Oceanic Flight 815 in Los Angeles.

A yellow taxi cab pulls up in front of the house, and two women emerge. It’s a “very pregnant” Claire (Emilie De Ravin) accompanied by, inexplicably, Kate (Evangeline Lilly)… who may have been driving. They walk up and Claire knocks on the door, and an unfamiliar woman (reportedly actress Jenni Blong) answers.  Claire introduces herself… and the woman immediately breaks down, crying.

“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry,” she says. “I really wanted this. But my husband… I just can’t have the baby right now.”

There’s anguish. And awkwardness. They’re not invited inside. But after a few more words are exchanged, it’s Claire’s turn to cry out. She cringes, and bends over, apparently and suddenly going into labor.

“Call a doctor!” Kate urges.

How do pregnant Claire and on-the-run Kate, previously strangers on a plane, connect in L.A.? Unless being on the run involved hijacking a cab with Claire as her fare? And what happened to the couple that was supposed to adopt Claire’s baby?  Season six can’t get here soon enough.

    Thanks for that update!

Interesting indeed. How would Claire and Kate connect? Hmm…that’s a tough one. Did they sit near each other on the plane? Well, even then, Kate was at the U.S. Marshall’s tight watch. Maybe they got a cab together leaving LAX?

Anyone a member of HIFF – could I buy my ticket to the Darlton event through you? If so, pls email me at [email protected].
I’ll throw in a Jack figurine, LOL.

This is so confusing! How would Kate be “free”, since she was in the custody of the Marshall on the plane??

Vicki – on this blog there was a spoiler that LOST shot a scene where Kate was running away from the Marshall. She got away somehow. Maybe Claire helped her cut the handcuffs, LOL. There is some kind of island connection between Claire and Kate through Aaron – there has to be. This is an alternate timeline. But the previous timeline where they meet on the island still exists, I believe – including how Kate takes care of Aaron and later meets Claire’s mom in L.A.

I’ve been bit BAD by the LOST bug since June and now HAVE to watch some filming getting done. I don’t care much to keep myself “un-spoiled” for the show, so I was wondering if there was any one person that would be the “authority” on where they’re shooting next.

If anything, I figured it’d be Ryan Ozawa.

Other than searching “LOST filming” on twitter, I’ve got nothing :D

Also, good seeing you at Chowder House today!

  8. Vicki says:

Oh ok. I haven’t been following the update religiously, so I might have missed that. Thanks.

i cant get lost outta my head!! and now this!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
anyway, i think kate helped her cross a street or something and ended up delivering the baby! so how is she free? i guess the plane landed but that big box did hit the marshal in the head during tirbulance??

  10. Will says:

That would be so cool, that Kate helped Claire deliver the baby on the island, and in a parallel timeline, Kate helped do it again in L.A. Whoop whoop, Kate the step-father killing midwife! Holla!

When does Lost start up again?

I saw Hurley at Kahala mall a few weeks ago walking to his Lexus SUV. I smiled at him and he smiled back. What do you say to a star in a parking lot?
