Bookmarks for December 13th

When I’m not blogging, I’m browsing. Here are sites and pages that I bookmarked on December 13th:

  • Introducing The 2008 Urlies: Since our sole purpose is to expose the very best bits of the web, we’re proud to present the finest from the year in Internet –The 2008 Urlies.
  • Library Releases Report on Flickr Pilot (Library of Congress): Only nine months into the pilot project placing Library photos on Flickr, the photos have drawn more than 10 million views, 7,166 comments and more than 67,000 tags, according to a new report from the project team overseeing the lively project.
  • Katamari rolls onto iPhone: I Love Katamari is necessarily downsized from its console and handheld big brothers, but fully 3D (as opposed to the isometric mobile version) and every bit as warmly familiar.
  • 40 Inspirational Speeches in 2 Minutes: The people of the United States are now a ragtag bunch of scruffy underdogs, down by three touchdowns at halftime, with a whole horde of orcs waiting for us right outside those locker room doors. Inspiration has become something we need.
